I, Udayakumar S Mutteal the owner of, Gokul Cruise, have grown up in and around Alleppey and are personally involved with all aspects of hospitality. This offers a unique blend of a genuine desire to show the most authentic part of the backwaters to the travelers, along with the professionalism of an international travel partner.

Long before luxury houseboats became Kerala’s signature travel experience, the backwaters were already part of our cultural imagination. This very stretch of water was once captured in the iconic Malayalam film Usthad, where a young Mohanlal stepped onto our traditional houseboat — a scene that quietly symbolized Kerala’s timeless relationship with these waters. That moment, preserved in cinema, mirrors the heritage we continue to carry forward today.
